Anjuna Beach in Goa

Anjuna beach is a famous beach spot adjacent to the Chapora fort. This place is a little crowded with tourists, but the area is full of scenic beauty and apt for lovers of photography. The natural scenery in this place is fabulous! There is a rocky stretch and a shore in the beach and also a means to climb to the various rocks lined up at a particular section in the beach. You must be careful since it might get slippery in certain areas. There is only a single water sport boat available here and the water is not recommended for swimming.
This is a good relaxation spot where we can enjoy the beauty of nature. This place is not over crowded so it is quite peaceful and liked by many. There is a bus to Mapsa in North Goa from Anjuna beach but this bus is not very frequent. Anjuna beach is famous for its peaceful atmosphere, scenic beauty and friendly people. The entrance fee is reasonable when compared to Calangute and Bagga which are completely costlier and commercial than other beaches. One can also enjoy. This beach is among the major attractions in Goa and there are many water sports such as surfing to be enjoyed here. You can get delicious sea food here and there are plenty of good shacks offering good non veg/ veg food along with drinks. Night life is also the best here as most of the popular shacks entertain the visitors 24/7.

The crowd on this beach is good and totally it is a fun package suitable for both singles as well as families. The beach is somewhat narrow and is filled with bars having Goan and Western food and also music. The place is busy with many vendors so you cannot be left alone to enjoy good sleep. Anjuna beach located at a distance of 18km away from Panaji is close to the famous tourist spots such as Curley's, shiva valley and so on. Since it is adjacent to the Chapora fort, large flocks of the younger generation throng here, especially students! There is a splendid Albuquerque mansion which has been built in the year 1920, bordered by a gorgeous Mangalore style tiled-roof and octagonal towers. The talented Anjuna band always plays for all the beach parties at night. There are many palm trees standing still in the humid air and at the east side is a large mountain. If you would like to go back in civilization, climb this mountain to reach Baga beach and avail a ferry from there. Anjuna beach, which looks like a colourful fair, is lined up with vehicles filled with tourists raising heaps of dust.
This beach attracts a wonderful and weird collection of monks, seers, artisans, artists, hippies, and so on. Full moon is the best time for nightlife here with the famous parties taking place, especially in the Christmas season as well as New Year. Tourists delight in the heavenly atmosphere with the gleaming full-moon casting an enchanting view and the mild waves caressing their feet. This place is also apt for you to indulge in parasailing or simply settle down in any of the restaurants for a pleasant candle- light dinner with your loved ones!
This spot is a well preferred choice of hippies, who began visiting during the 1950s, and mid-1960s and organizing the renowned delirious beach parties. Since then, it was these hippies who continued to popularize these raving parties with music, which are now the distinguishing features of Goa beaches.
The popular "Albuquerque mansion" nearby is among the sight-seeing top spots in this beach. There is a renowned regular Wednesday market near the beach, to the north, where small cafes, Kashmiri handicraft stalls and bars are lined up. This area providing a pleasing shopping experience and you can get quality products for reasonable prizes.
Bathing is comparatively safer in Anjuna beach than in many of the close by resorts and exhilarating activities like Bungee Jumping and water sports like windsurfing and paragliding add to the fun here.
